Forward Together: Stories of Connection

The Problem
Disconnection was becoming its own epidemic. Colorado teens were feeling isolated from parents, mentors, and even close friends. Data showed what parents already feared: when those connections weaken, resilience and mental health drop fast. The state needed a campaign that didn’t preach, but invited families back into conversation.

The Insight
You can’t lecture people into connection. You have to show it, honestly, awkwardly, beautifully. Real stories spark recognition. When parents and teens see themselves reflected in someone else’s struggle or small win, it opens a door for their own.

The Solution
We created Forward Together: Stories of Connection, a campaign built around real Colorado families who found ways to reconnect through mentorships, social activities, late-night talks, and simple acts of listening. Each story blended animation and live action to capture the emotion behind everyday moments. The films ran in 60-, 30-, 15-, and 6-second cuts across digital and broadcast, driving a surge in awareness and engagement. The campaign didn’t just move metrics – it moved people. And it went on to win an Emmy for Best Commercial Campaign.
